Arya Afrakhteh... Has a total of 27 years experience in the construction industry dating back to the time he was working with his dad's family business building high end residential communities in his native country. He came to the United States in 1984 where he completed his engineering degree at the University of Florida. Arya started his career as a consulting and project engineer managing large commercial and industrial facility construction in Huntsville, AL. Some of the major projects he has completed includes: NASA's Marshall Space Flight Centers communications building #4207. Energy audits for various industrial and government facilities (including NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center) . 100,000 square foot Lockheed Martin facility. Teledyne Laboratory buildings. Huntsville Hospital (phase #2 & #3 construction). DeSoto State Park renovation. Arya continued his career and began working with Exelon Nuclear in Pennsylvania managing projects that included power transmission and substation construction and underground gas distribution systems. He also successfully managed Contractor of Choice gas and electric construction contracts (valued over $25M). In 2005 Arya developed Brandywine Construction and Management, a high end custom residential construction firm. Together with a team of talented architects and interior designers, Brandywine has built some of the premiere properties in downtown Birmingham. Known for high quality construction and major attention to detail, Brandywine has been able to establish itself as the newest hallmark in Michigan's building industry.
